A lot of you have experienced a really serious relationship one time in your life, but when things suddenly come crashing down because your ex wants more space, you probably wonder what happened, right? There are many different reasons why your ex will suddenly want space. Some may not even have anything to do with you, such as family problems or securities. Fear of commitment might also play a role in your ex wanting more space lately. Here are some tips to answering the question of “how to get my ex back?” if your ex wants more space.
- don’t lose your pride or allow your ex to get the best of you, clearly you are still in love with your ex, but it might be a good idea to play a little hard to get at first, this will show your ex that it’s their loss and not yours.
- if you’re feeling like your ex still has feelings for you, it might be a good idea to get your him or her to start talking about something. Keep communication brief, you don’t want to give away too much and avoid drama. Short text messages will work wonders, it’s keeps things open-ended and will leave the ball in his court. Also, it was your ex that wanted space, so don’t let him get the idea that you’re smothering him.
- Your ex will eventually show interest again if things go well, this will be a good opportunity for you to talk about old times, keeping in mind to only bring up the good times that you had together. Focusing on the good things will far outweigh your ex’s need to want “more space”.
- If your ex is not responding to your subtle advances, you need to take it for what it is… either he is just not interested right now, or he really just needs some space so you should give it to him. This does not necessarily mean that he or she doesn’t love you anymore, just give them some time. After some time has passed, your ex will most likely contact you first when they feel that the time is right.
- if your ex is giving all the right signals, try to open up to him, let him know how you feel but avoid looking too desperate or needy. Show your ex that you’re independent as well and don’t need him around 24/7. Just let things happen naturally.
Again, these things may or may not work for your specific situation, but for me personally, it has worked very well, I hope that this post will help all of you that want to get your ex back of they “want some space”.
